The Creation: The Hermessence Cuir d’Ange was inspired by a memorable literary experience. It was when reading Jean Giono and his notion of “Cuir d’Ange” (angel leather) that perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena decided to work on a leathery note: “I wanted to write a poem to rekindle the love duet between leather and skin. Its softness and lightness, its tension and its caress through leather and musk.”
