Montblanc Masters of Art Tribute to Vincent Van Gogh Limited Edition 4810 RB-129156
With the Masters of Art Homage to Vincent van Gogh Limited Edition 4810, Montblanc celebrates Vincent van Gogh, one of the most popular painters of the late 19th century. This edition particularly emphasizes his time in Arles, with details reminiscent of the Provençal wheat fields and one of his most famous paintings, Sunflowers. The date "1888" engraved on the body band, next to Vincent's vibrant orange signature, commemorates the year he settled in Arles. The body is adorned with shades of yellow and orange, evoking the sun-drenched landscapes of southern France, immortalized in Van Gogh's works. Van Gogh developed a more spontaneous and free style and was equally adept with the brush and palette knife, which he used to create bold, thick impasto. The platinum-plated clip is inspired by his palette knife, while the yellow lacquer atop the cap immortalizes his brushstrokes. Furthermore, the upper part of the clip is filled with yellow precious resin and is shaped like a pipe bowl—a subtle detail that recalls his fondness for pipe smoking, as evidenced by many of his self-portraits. In homage to Vincent's fascination with traditional Japanese woodblock prints, the overall shape is inspired by a Japanese wood chisel, while the cap is crafted from wood. This edition is adorned with the Montblanc emblem in yellow precious resin.
