To celebrate the centenary of Meisterstück in 2024, Montblanc pays tribute to the origins of its iconic writing instrument with a collection inspired by the spirit of the 1924 Chamonix Olympic Games. As fate would have it, 1924 marked not only the launch of the writing instrument that would later become one of the Maison's most prized masterpieces, but also the very first Winter Olympic Games, held in Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc. Both Montblanc and the 1924 Chamonix Olympic Games fundamentally embody, through master craftsmen and sporting heroes alike, the pursuit of the greatest possible human achievement. The Doué edition combines a precious resin barrel in a blue-grey hue reminiscent of the official color chosen for the Winter Games with a platinum-plated cap decorated with an engraving of the mountain landscape of the Chamonix Valley. It features a 18k gold nib adorned with a ski jumper, a nod to a vintage Olympic poster from that year. The Olympic rings are integrated into the Olympic Heritage logo engraved on the cap's crown ring. A wreath of leaves, reminiscent of those awarded to the victors of the ancient Olympic Games as the highest distinction, encircles the design. The cap itself is engraved with the words "Olympic Games Chamonix 1924" within a frame inspired by the cover of the official Games report. The anniversary cap ring bears the inscriptions "1924" and "2024," symbolizing the significance of both years. The Montblanc emblem on the cap's crown, inlaid in precious coral resin—the Maison's signature color—completes this edition. International Olympic Committee
